Small Things

Unlike Thanksgiving where we had many friends come over, Philip and I were prepared for a really downplayed, quiet Christmas. Instead at the last minute we were invited to Washington D.C. to celebrate with his mother’s brother’s family. We packed up FDR, jumped on a MegaBus and were celebrating six hours later. This was the first time I met any of P’s relatives (besides his parents and sister) and I was pretty nervous. Despite some travel set-backs, and uncertain sleeping arrangements the entire weekend was wonderful and I hope we will be invited back next year.

{Look at this cute ornament that documents P’s family’s favorite sport.}

{Listening to a fire crackle the entire time we were there put us all in the Holiday Spirit.}

{Christmas Day we were lucky enough to spend time together ice skating.}
