30-minute Foot Spa

Once it starts cooling down, I put away all my pretty sandals and take out my boots and warm socks. It seems like the only downside to transitioning footwear is the wear and tear my feet go through after being stuck inside the shoes for hours. A great way to relieve stress and bring your feet back to life is to pamper them!

  1. Fill your tub with hot water (hot enough to make your toes pink, but don’t burn them). Add your favorite bathsalts and bubble bath (or add shower gel and mix with spoon to create bubbles). Let you feet soak for 5 minutes.
  2. Take out one foot at a time and massage with a rescue wash.  Lather well, and then place foot back in tub. Repeat with other foot.
  3. Take a pumice stone and work on your calluses usually occupying the heels and balls of your foot. Some might find the need to do this on their toes as well.
  4. Take out one foot at a time and massage with a salt scrub.  Feel free to be generous, and place foot back in tub once it lathers. Repeat with other foot.
  5. Once all the product is off your feet, step onto a dry towel. Dry your feet off.
  6. Moisturize your feet either with lotion or a gelee. If you are planning on going to bed, or walk around your house put socks on. The socks will lock in the moisture and will ensure you don’t leave footprints around your home.

Fun tip: Buy a small dish tub from a hardware store, and you can have a portable Foot Spa! Just place towel on the ground, your tub on top, and fill with the water temperature of your choice. Be careful not to spill. Throw some marbles in so you can massage the bottoms of your feet with little effort!
